Job Description

GE HealthCare seeks a Biomedical Equipment Technician 2 to service and maintain complex medical equipment at customer sites. The role involves diagnostics, planned maintenance, customer communication, and mentoring junior technicians while ensuring regulatory compliance and service excellence.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and diagnose complex biomedical equipment failures and implement appropriate repairs
• Perform preventive maintenance, safety inspections, and maintain customer relationships
• Lead, instruct, and assist other technicians on basic and complex equipment repairs
• Communicate proactively with customers regarding issue resolution and follow-up to ensure satisfaction
• Document all repair actions, maintain parts inventory, and manage vendor service processes

Requirements

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Biomedical, or Mechanical Engineering plus 2+ years medical equipment servicing experience
• OR High School Diploma/GED and 4+ years medical equipment servicing experience
• OR equivalent military education and 2+ years electrical or mechanical equipment servicing experience
• Strong analytical and communication skills to explain technical issues clearly to customers
• Ability to lift and carry up to 35 lbs unassisted; frequent bending, climbing, and hand dexterity required
• Willingness to work rotating on-call schedule including weekends for critical issues
• Compliance with background checks, drug tests, and customer access policies including immunization requirements

Compensation: $65,840.00-$98,760.00 Annual
